Corey Herring Automotive

Had my truck towed to Corey herring on 4/23/25 for a crank/no start issue. Did not get it back until the end of the day of 5/6/25. Some how it takes 10 business days to do a FICM replacement and standpipes? I had to constantly hound them for updates on the truck because they would say they would call back to tell me, which they only did once. I completely missed a job opportunity because they work slow as molasses. Once I finally got my truck back we went back to Texas. The morning of 5/9/25 I come outside to start my truck and it sputters but doesn’t start. I don’t understand how after spending 10 days at their shop, spending 2500$, and yet the truck has issues less than 3 days after leaving. They are not fast, not cheap, and don’t seem to be very good at fixing diesel trucks.

This last August I was in a comma. My truck was towed by Cory while I was sick. Fresh out of the hospital Cory Herring would not allow me to retrieve my wallet, cell phone or boots, said he wanted payment first. I was forced to make it in hospital footies, no cell, no access to my Bank accounts for 4 days I was barely able to stand up.

I took my daughters sport track there and had a new Jasper motor installed and a few other items repaired. A year later the thermostat and housing needed replaced. They told me the warranty on the part had just expired and it was going to cost over $1000 to replace. The warranty was still good on the motor but not the part on it. I got it repaired at other place for $171. The shifting wasn’t working right after that and his business said we needed a new transmission for over $5000, I researched that and it says it probably has something caught when the motor was changed out . Since then the valve cover gaskets are leaking and the mileage is still under warranty. I will Not trust them again. I was told Corey was very experienced but maybe his employees are not.

I have an '06 dodge 2500 that needs an engine either rebuilt or replaced. It is a 5.9 cummins motor. I was told to contact Corey Herring about doing the work. I was told the best thing would be to get a reman engine from Jasper and provided them with the information they needed to get it ordered. After about a month of not hearing back I called again and went thru the process of giving them the vin number and info they required to no avail again. It's been over a year and I'm still waiting for a call back. I'm assuming my money is no good to them or else they have too much money already.

They did a great job working on my truck. Excellent mechanics and professional staff. Would highly recommend for any kind of Automotive work.
