Costco Tire Service Center

I love Costco. I have spent a LOT of money with them. But their tire center is awful. When I bought the tires was a sad experience with their techs which is a different story. But later, got a repair done on a single tire out of a set I purchased. It was unrepairable and they replaced it. Guy at the front desk said you’re all good, handed my keys to me and I left. 3 months later they call me and tell me I didn’t pay for the tire and they’ll suspend my account if I don’t come in and pay. I just said okay and came directly in same day to pay for it and there is never anyone at the counter. Waited over 20 minutes so I could pay for the tire that they told me I was all good on. Do yourself a favor and go to discount tire

My wife was asked to sign off allowing Costco to break a lug nut during a tire service. She agreed knowing the risks. As shown in the attached photo, the entire wheel stud assembly was damaged, leaving the vehicle undriveable. Now we’re being told we need to tow the car over an hour away to another shop to get it fixed—likely after hours when the shop is closed. I understand things happen, but why is Costco running a half-service tire shop that can’t fix basic issues? Why are customers forced to go elsewhere for a repair Costco should be able to handle on-site? I love Costco and normally appreciate their customer-first approach, but this was a huge inconvenience and highlights a serious service gap. Got appointment at 7pm, arrived early 10 min as requested and had to wait for 2,5 hours until they finish installing my tires. I wasn't nice and smiley when I've been asking when they would give me my car back but I had a 12 hours long work day behind, 4 hours of commute in total, hungry kids waiting for me at home and I believe my reaction was justified. When I got my keys I found out that the tires pressure was twice lower than needed. I had to spend 30 minutes under pouring rain to fix that. One of the caps was screwed so hard that I wasn't able to unscrew it and had to fix that at home. I know they've done that on purpose and I'll be filing an official complaint about it. I've been doing my tires at this Costco for years but I'll never be back again.

It took them two hours to do nothing with my car. After they installed my tires I was experiencing unbalanced tires and they said they would fix it for free. So far so good. But after being quoted a 45 minute service, I waited 2 hours. They also did not solve the issue, so it was an absolute waste of time. I am convinced they caused the initial problem, and I am never coming back again.

Shout out to Adam and Boyd for assisting me with my tires! I had a conundrum upon arriving, at no fault of the staff, but Adam gave me options on how to proceed and Boyd also assisted with my car’s needs as well. They were very knowledgeable about my products and I had that reassurance my car was in good hands. I was in and out in two hours with an appointment so I highly recommend you don’t just stroll in there without one. These guys work hard all day so please make an appointment to make it easier on everyone. Thank you Adam and Boyd for the amazing service and assistance.
