My First Visit to Discount Tire Was Also My Last I brought my car to Discount Tire for a simple leak repair. After inspecting the tire, they told me there was a nail close to the sidewall and an older plug that was leaking. They said it was “too close to the sidewall” to safely repair and that my only option was to replace the tire or put on my spare. I explained that I just needed it remounted until I could decide what to do, but they refused to even put it back on my car. So I left with a dismounted tire and zero solutions — just the feeling that I was being pushed toward buying something I didn’t need. Two days later, I took the same tire and rim to another shop. I’ve been to a discount tire when I lived out in Utah and I really liked them. This one here wasn’t a pleasant experience. Maybe is was just the guy that I dealt with. I came in to have them fix a slow tire leak on my Tesla. The guy took a quick look at it in the parking lot and recommended I replace both front tires because the inside of the tire’s tread was worn. We went inside for a quote which was $1,100 for just 2 tires. I said no I couldn’t do that and asked if he could just fix the leak and he said they couldn’t do that. I then said well I’ll have to go somewhere else then and turned to walk out. The guy didn’t say anything to me, not a “thanks for coming in”, “sorry we couldn’t help” nope, nothing. First off I was a Festus location customer but was treated very poorly at the Festus store by the manager there long long story anyway Good news I was directed to the Arnold location The manager at the Arnold location was awesome his name is Garrett he is ver professional and kind and listens to concerns Garrett seen to my concerns to a very happy conclusion To me Garrett seems to be Very honest kind humble stand up kind of guy and all his employees at the Arnold location treated me with kindness and also listened to my concerns I just wanna give a big big thank you to Garrett and his team at the Arnold location for making me feel safer driving my car and feel safe letting my wife drive the car you guys at Arnold are great thank you again from MR Tim Bennett
