Discount Tire

I blew out a tire and needed a replacement. I called discount tire in San Marcos and spoke with Ammin. He said they would replace my tire for either 55 or 65 out the door depending on which tire I chose. It took me longer to get there than I thought it would because I was on a donut tire. They stayed open after hours to assist me. When I got there they use the tire gauge to check my tread on all my tires and told me my other front tire was low. I told him I was aware, but I couldn’t afford to take care of it right now. He told me he would do his best to get me both tires installed for $80. Which is how much money I had. The tire light went on in my 10-month old Honda CRV and I didn’t know what to do so I stopped by Discount Tire on Grand in San Marcos where I’ve had amazing experience with them for other vehicles. The service manager got me in queue and less than 15 minutes later I had another service manager check out my tire light. After verifying tire pressure they adjusted everything and even showed me how to reset it. Plus I didn’t know they offered free rotation! Another bonus and I will be back when I need a set of tires next near ( I put on a LOT of mileage commuting to SD). I highly recommend Discount Tire and their fabulous staff who didn’t take advantage of my gender or auto ignorance. 💯‼️👏

Needed 2 tires. Went to Discount Tire, loyal customer ~10yrs, and they tried to upsell me 4 tires totaling $1500 despite me telling them I just didn’t have the money, but needed to replace the two that were bald. Couldn’t get approval for their payment plan, so I went next door to Evan’s Tire, and within 30-45 mins I had two new tires for a little over $350. “Discount” Tire ought to change their name to “Marked Up and Will Pressure You to Spend All Your $$$$” Tire… probably won’t be coming back.

Today after work I was driving home when I noticed I had a flat tire. I called to make sure they had my tires. They did and the person on the phone was very helpful and was reassuring me that they can take good care of me. After getting there I was told that one tire would cost me 80$ which is good because I only had 100$. Angelo was the person to help me with the purchase. He checked my tires to make sure they were up to date. He said there are two more tires that are on their last tread before they are done. I told him that I couldn’t afford it that I would have to come back in about a month. Angelo talked to his boss and he later told me that the will help me with the two additional tires for me. I have been buying from Discount Tires for decades (also Americas Tire in NorCal). I have always had incredible experiences with top notch service and great interactions with the employees. My most recent visit requires a shout out to the San Marcos team. The service and attention to detail was outstanding. I had a few special requests and each one was met with a “yes sir” or “no problem”. Much thanks to the team and especially Ammin, David, Jesus and Tristian. I will be back again and again and recommend Discount Tires to everyone I can.
