Dobbs Tire & Auto Centers

I have been what I thought was a valued customer of Dobbs for a number of years. As an avid car enthusiast (and businessman), I have several vehicles that I bring to Dobbs for service. Up until recently, I have usually had a pleasant and straightforward experience. During my time as a customer with you guys, there has been a change in management twice (and staff respectively). Unfortunately, the new staff does not seem as courteous, professional, and thorough as their predecessors. I bought my vehicle in 2 months ago for a diag. After I dropped it off no one ever called. After several days , I called and was told first they thought I needed a new motor and that the motor had no compression, the diagnosis was “terminal” and the motor needed replacing. I had a great experience at Obbs Tires and Auto Center. I was kindly served by a gentleman named Lou at the reception—he was friendly and professional. The team quickly fixed my tire and even went the extra mile by balancing the air pressure in all my tires. I really appreciated the thorough and thoughtful service. Highly recommend!

I had my water outlet housing replaced at this location in June 2024. Here we are 16 months later and it needs replacing again. It's almost a $1000 repair and all they could do is offer a $75 coupon. The Dobbs "fixed forever" warranty didn't apply here. This particular part and the associated labor was only covered for 12 months. Appears they need to update their slogan. If you like paying twice for the same part and the labor to replace it this is the place for you.

I asked for diagnostic, due to check engine light came on & car was making a rattlinggʻ noise all they did was put oil in it and said engine was using oil, i asked if I could make it home, I had 20 miles to go some hiway, was told just take it easy. I barely made it home with a whole lot of praying! Also when picking up car, they did not bring car to me, I'm handicap, had to stop 3 times before getting to car. Also, they did NOT do a diagnostic, all the dirt was still on portal. I was hoping for better service as a coworker ( a male) said they were awesome...maybe for tires but nothing else. Guy at customer service desk was NOT HELPFUL AT ALL! He was basically a cashier, not knowledgeable at all about cars! I will not go back, stick to Gravois Auto in S. County....I'll have it towed nex

I went here for a transmission flush on Wednesday. When I arrived I was advised they did not have the proper tools to do the flush and I would have to wait until Friday. Friday is here, and just received a call that they would not be able to finish the transmission flush because they don’t have the proper tools. Why offer a service if you’re not prepared nor have the tools? (04/11/2025) This morning (04/12/2025) I come out to my car and my oil is leaking!! Excessive amounts! The photos are two days from each other Never again.
