Dykstra’s Auto – Grand Rapids

My car broke down when I left the airport and I was able to coast into Dykstra auto. I called them on Monday morning and they were so prompt and helpful with me. They looked at my car right away and got it diagnosed and fixed it very promptly. I was very happy with the service, I was happy with the communication from the coordinator. Everything was just perfect. I would highly recommend Dykstra auto again. Unfortunately I live in Grand haven so if I have to have another repair, I will probably do the local Dykstra here in Grand haven but I am so happy that Dykstra was right across from the airport. I had to take an Uber home which was quite expensive and then get a ride back to pick the car up, but all in all, the service was fantastic.

After experiencing a very stressful morning with a flat tire on the side of the highway, my experience at Dykstra's Auto was nothing short of exceptional. A jiffy lube employees were able to find a oil leak faster than these guys... dont get me wrong the staff was very friendly. And they did fix a portion of a issue (hence 2 stars) But wayy to overpriced. I paid a little over $1400 for them to find why my engine is losing oil. They replaces a cv axle. Inner axle. Oil change, valve cover gasket. But not even 100 miles after getting my truck back I noticed there was a small leak under the truck but I just thought hey maybe they spilled a little oil. I checked the dip stick and it was a little under max so i just didnt think much about it. Until about a week later my oil pressure light came on and my pressure was at 12psi going 65mph i was over 4.5qt low on oil. They also said my ac was fine. I DONT HAVE AC if they just pressure tested my lines

I scheduled here in November to have an all systems check on my vehicle due to an assumed transmission issue. I scheduled with them due to the fact that they said they would provide me with a full list of systems that were checked and rate them on a green, yellow and red scale to determine how serious each issue was. Upon inspecting my vehicle, they suggested a transmission fluid flush & new tires. I had them complete the transmission fluid flush & upon receiving the car back, I got NO paperwork regarding the all systems check. I had to call them back and ask where my red, yellow, green checklist was and it was then emailed to me 3 days after receiving the car back. They had also given me quotes for tires over the phone, but I did not receive those quotes with my first invoice either. Inst

I go here quite often as my junk chevy breaks down all the time. Never buying GM vehicle again. They are very nice and don't force me to get all the repairs done or overcharge for any service. Prices are competitive and customer service is excellent.
