Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I reserved a 7-passenger van online. Based on past experience, many times the vehicle type reserved online is not actually available on the day of pickup, for reasons I don’t know. Because of this concern, I specifically called to confirm whether the van I reserved would indeed be available that day. I had already made the reservation, and it was very important for me to have a van, as I absolutely would not be able to rent a smaller vehicle. However, the first response I received from your staff was: “I can’t predict the future or the situation on that day, so I can’t guarantee the van will be available, but we should have one.” And then: “If it’s not available, there’s nothing I can do, because I can’t predict the future.” I was not asking your staff to predict the future. Rented a car for 3 weeks vacation travel. Expected enterprise to be a top brand and fair in pricing. This is not what I experienced. Do not use Enterprise. Upon return the vehicle was inspected with fine tooth comb. After the inspector brushed dust from tires and upon bended knee located a scuff in the rubber and further what could have been a scuff on the wheel. I took pictures of his reported damage and report that it is undetectable even on close examination. If so, a fingernail brush with drop on paint would repair. I was charged $300.00 for this imaginary damage. I will attach pictures if if is allowed. Totally unprofessional attitude and he told me to file insurance claim. Had a one week rental reserved. The day before the rental was to start, I asked about a pick up and was told no problem., I would be called when they were on their way. When the call did not come, I phoned them, only to be told I was never put on the pick up list and they had no one to pick me up. I told them I would take a taxi and thought they should pay for it which they did not want to do. I took the taxi anyway, calling to tell them I was on my way and not to leave as they close at 5:00pm. I was there at 5:03 and the place was locked tight. We rented from the Petoskey Michigan store. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and patient with all my questions. Check in and check out was super quick and easy. I will definitely rent from there again.

Enterprise had what we needed for the best price and once in the past we had an issue and Enterprise not only took care of us but gave us an upgrade on our vehicle. I will stick with Enterprise in the furture.
