My miata NB was having a growling noise at high gear + low RPMs. A generalist auto shop spent 4 hours looking at it and diagnosed it as a transmission related issue. This surprised me because the car shifts pretty smoothly, despite the noise. I called up a transmission specialty shop, described the issue, and was told to get a second opinion, and that's when I brought my car over to Exact Motorsports. Since I went on a weekday it wasn't terribly busy. I was only there for a total of 20 minutes. What's great is that the mechanic actually invited me to drive my miata while it was on the lift. Exact Motors came highly reccomended from friends around the Bay Area doing exacting, proffessional and detailed work on performance suspension upgrades. Everyone here was so friendly, helpfully and crazy knowledgable! I am upgrading my suspension on my 2014 Toyota prius, and wanted a much safer and much more sporty ride than what stock offered. Sandy went through all the options with me and took the time to explain how each of the different options would impact the ride and performance. In the end I chose the Tein Enduro PRO shocks and Struts and H&R Spings. Can't wait to get into my new ride! Will update once I get my car back and driving it.

My relationship with Exact Motorsports started 4 years ago when I was informed by other shop that my Nissan Z has compression issue and needing an engine rebuild while the car runs fine and pulls strong. Few members from the Z community suggested me to bring my vehicle to Exact Motorsports for a 2nd opinion and it turned out my compression + leak down were all within the factory spec. Since then, Exact Motorsports has been maintenance and performance upgrade my Z and other vehicles. Exact Motorsports has always been honest on the works that are need it. They’re honestly, great work and reasonable rates are what I appreciates the most especially these days.
