Glacier Clean Car Wash

I paid $16 for the most expensive option expecting my car would at the very least be clean by the time it was done. Not only did the thing drip all over the car after the dryer made a couple of passes leaving drips all over it, I got home (1/2 mile away) and discovered my car was still filthy. I called and left a vm. We’ll see if anything comes of it.

Nice self service car wash. The water pressure is great. It'll knock off the dirt and bugs off your car. That's dependant on just how much dirt and bugs your vehicle is caked with, of course. It was still a good amount of soap being dispensed at 2:00 PM on a Friday. See the posted video for a demonstration of exactly how much soap was being dispensed. Cash or credit payment accepted. At The time of this review, the cash price was $3 payable by quarters or coin dollars. I'm not sure what the time limit is for the $3 you pay. The credit card reader seems a bit fickle. It took a while for my credit card to be read properly. Apparently, the water stays on until you shut it off by pressing a button on the terminal. Very poorly maintained. Lot of water spraying out of the hoses that feed the washing carriage. Some of the hoses above the vehicle are hanging down and drag across the roof of my pickup. The only thing that operated correctly was the credit card terminal. As a local small business owner myself I was somewhat embarrassed for the operator of the facility. Wish there was a way to endorse my review without the online haters.

My husband and I visited Glacier National Park for the first time in September, 2023. After a few days of driving up and down Going to the Sun Road, our car was covered in dirt, mud, dust, and bugs from the highway construction near Lake McDonald. We stopped at Glacier Clean Car Wash because it was close to our hotel. We happened to arrive the same time as Shayne Hatfield, the owner. Shayne happens to be a car nut like my husband, so they chatted for a while. He showed us how to operate the car wash so we could clean our convertible without putting the top up. Came off the forest service roads and wanted to get the dust off. Pulled into the self-service wash bay and got to work. Thought it did a good job of getting the dirt off but had a very hard time getting the soap rinsed off. Decided to finish up with the $14 automated wash. First, the plastic is so weather-beaten and hazy that I couldn't see the instructions. Finally got the wash activated and proceeded to enter. Seemed to be doing an ok job but again the rinsing was sub par even with the spot free rinse. Took the truck back to the manual bay and just tried to rinses the soap off and use straight spot free rinse. I still have soap streaks. Save your money and wash your car at home. They have reasonable prices but you can't get the soap off.
