Glen Eddy

My husband and I have lived at Glen Eddy for 18 month in one of the lovely, spacious cottages. We enjoy the peace and beauty of the campus and marvel at the wildlife and birds. The residents greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm. The activity program offers something for everyone. As one resident stated, “They work hard to make us all happy.”

I moved to the Glen Eddy in mid-July 2021. From the beginning, I have felt welcomed by both residents and staff. There are a variety of floor plans for apartments and cottages. The dining room is a great place to meet and socialize with other residents. There are a lot of exercise options, a wide variety of activities, and interesting presentations. There are also opportunities "off-campus" including a recent trip to the Edith Wharton home in Lenox, MA, to which we traveled by a Glen Eddy bus. The residents are friendly and welcoming to new (and other) residents. The staff is helpful and responsive, eager to make this place my home.

I am a widower and moved backed to the area about two years ago to be near my kids after twenty years in North Carolina. After looking at several Senior Independent. living facilities I settle on the Glenn Eddy.The Campus is beautiful with plenty of places to walk.There all sorts of activities,exercise classes for you to do as well as off Campus trips and Plays. The staff is great and always willing to help. The food is good most.of the time and the wait staff will get you something different if isn’t to your liking. All and all a good choice for me and the friendly people that live here .Probably for you too.

My mom lived at the Glen Eddy for eight years. She absolutely loved the vibrant social community and the new friends she made. Lectures, book clubs, painting, bridge and so many other activities enabled her to thrive as she aged. She participating in trips to SPAC, Proctors and Glimmerglass Opera as well as overnight trips. Her apartment was beautiful and she had all the privacy and independence she valued while also enjoying meals and activities with friends. When her health declined she was able to stay within the Eddy system and is now being very well cared for. As a real estate agent, specializing in senior downsizing I have had many clients move into the Glen Eddy who have shared with me how happy they are to be living in such a welcoming community.

We moved to Glen Eddy from out of state a few months ago. We had visited several retirement communities in the area and Glen Eddy stood out to us because of the beautiful setting and friendly staff. We love our cottage and everyone has been welcoming. We are certain that we made the right decision to move to Glen Eddy
