Dave seems to be a stand up guy, 2 stars because he offered great advice - but I can’t say enough about the way this guy handles business. If you have short patience do not bring your car here. Typically it’s under promise, over deliver. Here it is OVER PROMISE, UNDER DELIVER. Towed my car here in a pinch to have it repaired in “3 days or so” only to tow it back home 3 weeks later. The tow truck driver said Gorge Automotive brings him a lot of business because he’s always towing cars from gorge auto to another shop due to customers having the same issue as me! Buyer beware, even his employee says he’s full of it - but does great work. Stop making excuses! Tell customers that the work isn’t going to be done for a month so we can go to a different shop and get back on the road!

I’ve been here a few times, and he’s always been honest and affordable! When I called and asked his opinion about another shops quote on an engine swap for my T100, he gave me a straight answer without slandering or trying to sell me. Highly recommend 👌

This mechanic is hit or miss. No one answers or returns calls. Voicemail rarely checked to the point in which it’s common for it to be full. Owner has the memory of a goldfish. My car has sat there for EDIT: over A MONTH despite being told I’d hear about it in a couple days. I’ve walked down there multiple times and he is always closed. No spare key otherwise I’d just take the damn car back myself already. According to other reviews I am not the first person to have to contact the police. EDIT: I got the car back. It was repaired despite me explicitly telling him I only wanted a diagnostic run and we could discuss the parts that needed to be ordered. He never called me to discuss ordering parts. Needless to say I will not be a returning customer.

Couldn’t recommend enough - went above and beyond to help in our emergency break down on the highway. Personally towed us since AAA never showed and provided a rental car so we could reach an event happening the same day as the breakdown. He answered the phone every time I called, met me on his day off to exchange the cars, and knew exactly where he could locally source the replacement parts. He’s more than experienced, and his compassion saved our weekend.

Super awesome guy and a life saver! Our Tundra died a long way from home and we called a few auto shops to have us towed to and David was the most willing to help us out as quickly as possible. He sounded very knowledgeable on the phone and got to us right away when we arrived. Turns out it was a simple fix, but he was able to give us some tips on proper parts and hookup in the future and even helped lead us back to the highway. Highly recommend and would come back again if we didn't live out of the area!
