Greg's Trans-Electric

I’m new to Montana and the Missoula area. After making the drive from Texas to Montana, my transmission went out on my ‘15 Yukon. I called around to multiple shops and Greg’s had the best price and warranty for the transmission. The part arrived in 2 days and they had my car completed just 2 days later. I would highly recommend this shop. Everyone was so nice and they did a great job.

Both my husband and I have had our trucks in with Greg's within the last few months - just for checks and minor concerns. All of the guys in the shop are super knowledgeable and helpful. They are great with explaining things for a non-mechanic to understand. I very much appreciated the great service! Hopefully I won't see them again soon :-)...but when I need something, I'll definitely come back!

When letting off the fuel the truck feels like it’s breaking in two. When getting back on the fuel it feels like the 2 halves are slamming back together. This is specifically what I said I wanted diagnosed. Later that day when I picked up the truck they told me they could not recreate my experience. It’s so extreme if you’re not wearing a seatbelt you might get whiplash; you’d have to be paralyzed not to notice it. Have since diagnosed the torque converter……… shouldn’t you have known that ? They proceeded, allegedly, to give me a “ front end shakedown “. Never said anything about that, didn’t need it, has nothing to do with it. They told me then that I needed new ball joints- had new MOOGS pressed a year ago. Told me I needed a new steering gear box- did that a year ago. Told me I needed t

Greg's is an ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVIOR!!!! My Axle and Ball Joint broke while I was driving! I had it towed to Greg"s on a Friday night. They looked at it first thing Monday morning told me what was wrong and what needed to be done!! I had my car back by Tues afternoon!! Will was so kind and such a joy to interact with!! If You have any car problems I 100%ABSOLUTELY recommend Greg"s!!! I will only be going to Greg's from now on for any car problems!!!! Thank You SO Much Will!!! You are Amazing!!!

This is a great shop. They’re honest and they do everything they can to be reasonable and helpful. My situation was beyond help but they didn’t push for upsells or anything I didn’t need. I’m from out of town and they helped me in every way they could. Wonderful people. We will always come to see them for any car needs when we are in Missoula.
