Lucas McDonald was our contact at Griffin, and the service he and the Griffin team gave us was excellent. We purchased a 2025 Prius that had manufacturing issues after a few thousand miles. Griffin fixed the issues, but unfortunately they occurred again. They worked with us to get a new vehicle, and went overboard in working out a deal we could agree with. They were always accessible and made sure we were never without dependable transportation during the process. Lucas and the Team were always honest and up front with us. This was a situation nobody wants to be in, including Griffin Toyota, as it was a manufacturing issue they could not control. The way they handled it was extremely professional and fair. I dropped my car off at Griffin Toyota in Hamlet, NC overnight on 11/20/25 for what should’ve been basic, routine maintenance—brake replacement and spark plugs. I assumed it wouldn’t take all day. I got a call at 9:30 AM on 11/21/25, and it seemed like they were just getting to my vehicle. As expected, they tried upselling me on additional services the car didn’t actually need at the moment. I declined and told them to just replace the brakes and spark plugs. The final bill? $847.37. Labor alone was $282.07, and the job wasn’t completed until 4:00 PM—for basic repairs that should be straightforward and far cheaper anywhere else. I’ll add a shoutout to the service department who continue to keep my 12 year old Prius still working exceptionally, too. I’ll preface: we don’t buy a lot of cars (new or used), so unfamiliar with all the in’s & outs. That said: Lucas McDonald & the folks at Griffin Toyota made the purchase of our new Grand Highlander as easy as it could have been. Small back story: been searching for this GH since Nov of 2024. Have talked & communicated with, at least, 8 or 9 dealers. All of them said it was tough getting these GHs and most of them said the specs I wanted were gonna be tough.
