Maybe I’m silly or just old fashioned, but an estimate is a verbal promise until it is changed. I was in the building trades all my life and when I gave someone an estimate, that was my promise, unless something unexpected came up and I notified the customer. The price I was actually charged was over 100$ more than my estimate. She said they had put down the wrong size. That’s hard to do when I brought the window in to them. I’m not impressed and I won’t be back. No integrity here, Thats for sure. Why even give estimates then if you don’t honor them?
