Hampstead Auto Wash

Kind and helpful. Will be my go-to spot for car wash! First-timer and impressed by both young gentlemen. The Chick Fil’a of car washes in Surf City by Publix.

Like some of the other reviews, the high pressure soap setting doesn't deliver soap for longer than 3-seconds. I wasn't going to use the soap-brush on my car - that was disgustingly dirty. So at best, I got a soapy-pressure wash of my wheels - which really needed a separate wheel cleaner and brush wash - and a high pressure water rinse of my car. It helped to get the 3-weeks of traveling road grime and bugs loose but wasn't sufficient to get it clean. At home, I used detail spray and microfiber towels to get the dried (dirty) water spots off.

Everything works quite well, but there’s two things that don’t make it a 5-star wash for me. What I like: (1) the Rain-X option (2) the spot free rinse (3) the hose is high pressure without fail What I don’t like: (1) the foam brush is mounted in such a way that it always falls forward. So even when I’m trying to wash the back of my car the hose keeps falling forward and smacking up against my car. No matter how much I try to hold it or swing it out it still falls forward. After a second look, it’s mounted to the wall at a forward angle. Nothing can be done about it, but it’s just frustrating to use. (2) the low time beep is way too quiet. If I’m at the front of the car I can’t hear it at all, which caused me to have to pay for a whole second cycle when I only needed a minute’s worth. E

Auto wash cleaned car really well. Was pleasantly surprised. Got the $12 wash even though it seemed high but wasn't disappointed. Parking lot is real tight not easy to maneuver or I would give 5 stars

Is a little out dated for sure but it definitely beats not having any carwash. They've had the same equipment since I was in high school and I'm 33 now, back then you could wash your entire car for $4 or so if you were quick about it. Now it's around $6-7. I also don't use the foam brushes.
