Hertz Car Rental - Bakersfield - Meadows Field Airport (BFL)

Rented from Thrifty which I think is a division or managed by Hertz here. Vehicle pickup was great, no hard sale on add-ons, had my keys before my bag came out of the claim. Car was way nicer than expected. Would rent here again in Bakersfield without hesitation.

I have usually been very pleased with Hertz but the last few rentals even before the virus the customer experience has started to tank. Peaking at an all time high yesterday when we tried to rent an suv at the Bakersfield Airport location. We had reserved this SUV the day prior and upon pickup were told the car was being cleaned as it was all they had and it would be 15 minutes. 15 minutes turned into 30 and then finally after several trips to the desk explaining we were on a time limit we got the keys. We walked out to see the body of the vehicle still completely dirty except for some water spray on top. But when we opened the doors we were absolutely apalled. The images below show that the car was not even touched inside as far as cleaning their was food everywhere and dirty streak finge

Very disrespectful..even though I have a American express card..20,000limit. They need to be more customer friendly..remember customers pay there salaru

I highly recommend Hertz for any vehicle rental needs. The pickup process is expedited and technologically convenient, saving valuable time after a long trip. The added value based on my experience is the customer service at the Bakersfield Meadows Field. I left my suitcase with my computer and other belongings, and the executive at the front desk called me to ensure my work tools were safely protected. Hertz, you have a customer for life with my company.

They skipped me after not having cars and proceeded to let people crowd in front of me. Now they just sit in the back for 30 min while the line piles up
