Hertz Car Rental - Dickinson Airport

I rent from Hertz literally all over the country without too many complaints, except this location. I know it is a small community and airport, but that excuse only goes so far. Published hours are meaningless. Customer service from the local manager is inept. If you are trying to rent a car and not on an incoming flight, good luck. They only service there counter around a couple flight times a day and if the flight is delayed or canceled they don't show up at all.

Melissa was awesome in helping us to get a nice SUV to drive home to Kalamazoo Michigan. We had to exchange vehicles due to the Hertz in Kalamazoo Michigan putting us in a cargo van that was beyond filthy and the cargo door did not close all the way. We froze on the way to North Dakota due to the cargo door not securely closing. No way did they inspect or clean this vehicle before they put my family in it. I highly recommend the Dickinson Hertz. Will never rent from Hertz in Kalamazoo. Melissa went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. Sparking clean vehicle.

When I arrived at this counter, my keys and rental packet were waiting for me. I have never had such efficient service. Melissa, who worked the counter, also gave us tips for things to see and places to eat in the area. A great experience for us weary travelers.

So I put in to rent a car about 1 month ago at least and it was confirmed and paid for. Well the hotel that we booked with the car never showed up to shuttle us there so we called the hertz 1 800 number to see if we could pick up car earlier. The lady we talked to tells us that they won't allow us to take and drop off where we live in North Dakota but reservation says where we were going. So of course this is 4th of July weekend and I am stranded with wife and 2 kids in Denver, CO. No busses, no cars and nothing to get us home. We go and spend $650 to book a flight to fly to Bismarck, ND. Finally after buying tickets I get a hold of the hertz store where we suppose to pick up car and the guy says he doesn't know why we were told that because we're able to take car to North Dakota.
