Hertz Car Rental - Draper - South Streetate Street

They marked a car as damaged upon return for a damaged windshield. The problem is this is after acknowledging a chip in the windshield that had cracked and they dismissed the case. Except they didn't. They sent it further up and have now locked my account to prevent renting after THEY gave me a damaged windshield and are trying to charge me for a damaged windshield. Do not rent through this location. I always enjoyed hertz and have dozens of rentals through them. But no more after this experience. I will not pay for damage they acknowledged and have gone back on and are now trying to charge for. Enterprise down the street is a much better option. They at least have never tried screwing me over like this.

If I could I would give them 0 stars. We were trying to return a car and got stuck in a massive traffic jam. We tried calling to see if they could wait but no one answered the phone. We arrived 2 minutes after they closed and the person on duty refused to go back inside so we could return the car. He just said “we’re closed” and walked away, leaving me with no way to return the car since they don’t allow after hours drop offs. Now I have no idea how I am supposed to return the car. Worst customer service experience ever! I will NEVER rent from Hertz again, and we have been loyal customers for years.

If you need to return your car on the weekend, STAY AWAY from these guys!!! You can't return the car on the weekend without penalties because they are not open and they have no key-drop or any after hours return process. This means they WILL CHARGE YOU for extra days. You have been warned. UPDATE: I went to the link in the response below and it's just the Hertz generic support page. I started a chat on that page and described the situation. I was told the same thing. No returns on the weekend without penalties. So this review STILL STANDS. If your return lands on the weekend, YOU WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA days. You have been warned.

This Hertz location is perfectly great. I’ve rented here multiple times and without incident. I like the staff. If you understand the fundamentals everything will go great. E.g.—return the car during business hours, be on time, bring a credit card, document your vehicle condition before and after, communicate and be nice to the staff, etc.

I just returned a rental after 34 days. They gave me the truck at what they said was 95% full I stopped and filled the truck to what I thought was the same level and on a $4656.98 bill they still added $20.44 for gas. Apparently I was 2 gallons under. Throughout the rental I was not able to call anyone on the phone. I was not able to payoff part of the rental unless I returned the vehicle that was my daily Driver. Never again will I use Hertz. Absolutely no costumer service. They just don’t care, period.
