Hertz Car Rental - Ferndale - W 8 Mile Road

Management (Jennifer): Horrible! Nasty attitudes, no level of customer service whatsoever. Always dirty vehicles, sent the last one back to be cleaned "again" after Wes told me it was already cleaned. Took video of trash under the seat that you could see as soon as you open the back door. Lied telling me they had no more vehicles. Took that one back to be cleaned again. Brought it back to me with a pizza box in the back with open sauce in it. They miraculously had another vehicle after that and it too was dirty. Pictures are included of both vehicles. I've been with Hertz over a decade and am a 5 star gold member. That means nothing... I needed another rental as my vehicle was still being repaired. I have enough points to get free days, but I'm good. I went to another company. DON'T RENT

0/5 STARS. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION. I truly wish I had read the reviews before booking. My experience was extremely disappointing. I rented a vehicle on Thursday and it was very dirty at pickup. The interior was covered in crumbs throughout the car. I immediately brought this to their attention and was told it was the only vehicle available. Because my situation was urgent and I had no other options, I reluctantly accepted it. When I returned the car on Tuesday, we were told there were crumbs in the backseat since we have children and that we needed to get the car detailed or we would be charged a detailing fee. I explained again that the vehicle was already dirty when we received it. They acted as if they had no recollection of my earlier complaint and insisted the car was

0/10 Definitely don’t recommend! Car had a quarter of tank of gas, & 0% oil !!! I was on my way out of town, this has never happened to me at this location. I haven’t been to location in a long time but I see the customer service is horrible. It’s no way you cleaned the vehicle on the outside & didn’t check the gas or oil at allllllll? I had to drive to the airport to pick up another vehicle so I could hit the road at 6am.

There is a very rude manager at this location. She identified herself as Jennifer. This person should not be in a management position due to her lack of customer service skills. Not only is she unfriendly, she doesn't accommodate the customer. Her communication skills are abrasive and will turn most customers away. I wouldn't recommend this location if you want good service and respect. And whatever happens, avoid this unfriendly, and combative manager at all costs. Choose a better car rental experience somewhere else. Hopefully, she will receive training on customer service.

Absolutely terrible experience here. I rented a car for a business trip and the car they gave me was damaged in several areas from different accidents it had been in, including a crack in the windshield. They assured me they knew the car was damaged and that I wouldn’t get charged. Upon getting in the car, it also reeked of marijuana. It was so strong I had to put dryer sheets in the vents and roll all the windows down to get any relief. I thought it would get better but it didn’t the whole trip. After turning the car in in the same condition I received it, they emailed me several weeks later saying that I damaged the car (cracked the windshield). I responded to their inquiry with time stamped photos of the windshield being damaged beforehand and I refuse to pay for their negligence. I’ll
