Hertz Car Rental - Landover Hills - East West Lincoln Hle

I'll start by saying the staff was polite and professional. My issue lies more on the side of the system, I suppose. I'll make this quick because I'm in a rush after my third visit to this Annapolis road facility. Due to this establishment running out of cars (that I thought was booked and confirmed) I have missed my father's funeral. One would assume that an asset such as a motor vehicle would be on a digital inventory system to avoid such a logistical misunderstanding. One would also assume you would notify the client that his or her vehicle is not available at the time agreed at pickup. I have lost time. I have lost money. I have lost family, but yet I have gained nothing. We have got to do better, respectfully.

I rented a car from this Hertz 4 times (2022-2023) and have NEVER had an issue! Of course, rental cars at this location are in High-Demand. It’s connected to a car dealership & service center. So individuals with car incidents most likely get cars from here for convenience. Sometimes you may have to wait and that’s just how life is! I was puzzled to see so many bad reviews, so I’m writing a good one!!! Not sure the guys name or if he is the manager, but his customer service is impeccable! He is always professional, patient, hard-working, and I had to write a review for this one. I had a 2022 GMC Terrain and the tags were stolen off the vehicle. I instantly COMPLETELY understood why this location was rated 2.8 stars, as of 6/25/2025. From start to finish I had a bad experience with this one woman in particular. She opened up the location late first of all. I arrived for my 8am appointment at 8:04am. I'm a hertz gold member so i've done the process before where I can check in and just pick up the keys, in and out in under 5 minutes. I thought it would be the same. When I arrived there was already another customer waiting outside and she said they're closed. She was already on the phone with Hertz customer service to see how she can get her 8am car as well, because she was dropped off. ZERO STARS. Took the car from Hertz. The first car they gave us had faulty sensors; we returned it as soon as we found out. We took the second car, but returned around an hour later because an entire Nug bolt was MISSING. I don't think this makes the car safe and even the MVA website confirms that a car with a missing Nug bolt should not be driven. We politely returned and asked for a refund (as our work was already delayed, our appointments cancelled, and the day most of it ruined). The personel took the car, voided the contract (we couldn't use the car at all), and dismissed giving us the refund stating it was only a COSMETIC issue. I beg to differ. Just recently took a long distance trip and used this location to pickup and return the rental car. This place is suppose to open at 8:00am. For both pickup and return, management crew arrives late (one worker was on time but he didn't have the key or work the computers). Gold service member, have to wait for them to open up their systems. My car looked like it hadn't seen an outside wash! Gas was only 5/8 full and message on dash said it needed an oil change!!!
