Hertz Car Rental - Penn Yan - Penn Yan Regional Airport (PEO)

Absolutely horrible experience. First they gave us the wrong vehicle, then the did not explain anything and charged me a ridiculous amount that was never spoken about and still never received the rental. No one knows how to communicate or do their job. We booked through Expedia and the price they tell you is not even close to accurate. Then they give you a number to a robot and you can't get anywhere to fix the problem. Worst experience ever will never use Hertz or Expedia again!

Will quote you one price than charge you much more. Impossible to reach customer service or billing. Hours on the phone with no resolution

Let me preface this by saying that a 1 star review is FAR too generous. We showed up to grab the rental, which was reserved weeks in advance, only to be left disappointed to find out that no vehicles were available. None. The woman at the counter merely shrugged and informed us that we'd need to contact Hertz in Fairport, as she was not an employee and couldn't tell us why no one bothered to deliver the rental vehicles, let alone why there were *zero* attempts at communicating this status... we were on our own and basically stranded with zero options. To top it all off, Hertz still managed to charge our credit card for a vehicle that did not exist. SOME type of communication, a phone call, even an email would have saved us from standing there equally as dumbfounded as the woman workin

The woman employee was SO rude! Why do you get a job that is public facing when you hate people - or maybe just unhappy with her life. Who knows? But that I could have dealt with. They also had a hard time even finding my reservation (which I showed them) and getting me a car. Hertz should be ashamed of this location.

Pretty disappointed with the service at Hertz location in the Penn Yan airport: The woman employee was unnecessarily rude and lacked basic customer service skills. In addition, the car was filthy on the outside and reeked of marijuana on the inside. On top of this, they didn’t have any boosters or car seats (even though I had reserved one serval days ago). A simple heads up could have given me time find another solution.
