After eight years of loyal service at the Ford Service Center in Portsmouth — including purchasing two vehicles — I went in for a routine oil change and inspection. I left stunned. Not only did my F150 fail inspection, but they handed me an outrageous $5,200 estimate. No explanation, no consideration for our long history, and a service rep who couldn’t have cared less. That was the final straw. I left with just an oil change and a bitter taste. I’ll never go back, and I certainly won’t be buying my next truck there. Then I remembered Horne’s Auto. The owner is a good honest man. My daughter walked away without any remorse whatsoever and I thank him for that mostly.
