I rented from York Car Rental because it was listed as a recommendation through American Express, so I trusted I would receive a professional experience. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst rental car experiences I’ve ever had in Denver. The problems started immediately with the “complimentary” shuttle. The driver (John) told us to wait 30 minutes and showed up late. When he arrived, he was visibly angry because previous passengers didn’t tip him. During the ride he complained loudly on the phone about customers being cheap and broke. It was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. At the counter, I was not given the vehicle I reserved. I specifically booked a Jeep for snow conditions, but was handed a Toyota and told “that’s what we have.” The car was dirty and covered in scratc

I booked a prepaid car reservation through Priceline back in September. York called me 2 DAYS before I was scheduled to pick up the car on Feb 22 and told me their hours changed and there would be an additional hefty charge for off-hour pickup. After I reluctantly filled out the required additional paperwork, they never called with info on how to arrange the off-hour pickup and every time I called there was no answer and no ability to leave a voicemail. Fortunately, Priceline was able to issue me a refund and I used Nu Car Rental, which was very reliable and convenient. I recommend using Nu for a discount rental and staying away from York. John was an awesome driver and he provided five star service to my husband and I. This is the first time we have used your service and we will definitely be returning because Of his great kindness! He was very courteous would not let us load or unload our bags or get any doors. Exempla Torey service.

This is not review according to a new experience, this review to a previous experience. I also want to highlight that I’ll be including photos of the car’s damage. As you can see, the damage is minimal and doesn’t impact the vehicle driving‼️ Despite this, the owner is still attempting to claim money from my insurance, even though it wasn’t my fault and the damage is not major. This really shows how this company operates. I really don't know what he did to the car after I left it at the office. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE ‼️‼️‼️

Be AWARE! Worst customer service. Mislead by operator and overcharged $125 at the end. Completely dismissed by customer service. Rented a car for 4 days to go skiing and was overcharged almost double!! Shady place with no communication and no customer service. UPDATE: i have not upgraded my vehicle, i have not had kids seats. That once again proof of customer service that is offered. I was told by York Representative at the counter that i will be charged ONE TIME fee of $25 for using my visa card and ultimately was charged $125! After reaching out with request to refund overcharged amount York customer service informed me that it will be in fact daily $25 charge. Complete DISINFORMATION by York representative and complete lack of customer service.
