I purchased a brand new Outback 5 years ago,waited for it and drove it off the lit with I think 9 miles on it. As soo n as I got on the freeway,on my way home, I saw the alignment was off. WAY OFF. I IMMEDIATELY VEERED INTO THE LANE TO MY RIGHT and would have turned around, but it was already passed closing. I let them know at every oil change that I needed anallignment and was always told they couldn't fit it in, or was quoted an amount they would charge me. I WAS SHOCKED SOMETHING SO SIMPLE, SO DANGEROUS, SOMETHING THAT SHOULDNT BE WRONG ON A BRAND NEW CAR, would be such A HASSLE to fix. This is a recount of what occurred last year. When I arrived for my appointment at the service department, I was told my my oil change would take less than 1 hr. At 1.5 hours, my service advisor, Heather, tells me they "discovered a very small leak from a plug." I was surprised given that we've never seen any indication of a leak in my engine. My garage has no stains on the floor. And my engine looked clean BEFORE I brought my car in. She said it would be just "30 more minutes". Another hour passes, I don't hear any update so I proceed to inquire about my car. This time, Bosco, takes me to my car and l immediately smell the oil smell emanating from the engine compartment.
