Known now as American Collision and Auto Repair. Managed by Nick, a good guy. My car was involved in an I-8 incident and through the ineptitude and negligence of my insurance company I wound up here. What a stroke of good fortune. The shop was busy, clean and orderly. Nick was professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. My car was expertly repaired, they worked for me and were not in the pocket of my insurance company, who tried some tricks bested by these folks. High marks for this shop that also does mechanical repairs.

We were from out of town visiting when our car started breaking down. Jiffy Lube recommend this place to us and they took our car right in. Took an hour to fix it. They were fast and very friendly. I'm so glad they we're able to help us at that very moment because that was the 4th mechanic shop we had gone too. Thank You Hughes Automotive! You guys did a great job. Also the front desk lady was friendly and kind.

Been using Hughes for at least 20 years. When I didn't need repair they told me. When I did, they told me. I guess they have built my trust so I send everyone there. Not everyone has had a great experience, and not all of mine haven't been great either. But I have been doing business with them for a long time and expect as long as I am in East County I will continue.

I get treated right and fairly at this Mom and Pop mechanic shop. Have never had any issues with their work as well. Only place I take my vehicle to for repairs.

Always excellent service, fair prices quoted up front, completed in a timely manner, friendly. All around excellent place to get your vehicle worked on or serviced.
