Iowa City Tire and Service

If you have a college student at the university of Iowa, and you don’t know where to send them this is the place! My car completely broke and the staff here was impeccable. They made me feel 10 times better and were so flexible. They took care of all the nitty-gritty stuff and were understanding of my schedule! They also communicated all the details to my dad over the phone and kept him constantly updated. they also gave me good recommendations on what to look for in a new car and even offered to help me look in the area. They went above and beyond for me and my experience and I’m just so thankful this is where we went with my car issues!!! 10/10 give them your service!

I had a blow-out on my way to my mechanic (out of town) and IC Tire was recommended by my mechanic. Andy was very reassuring on the phone, offered to call a tow truck for me, and made sure they got me in for a new tire. Very, very friendly service here, honest, and give people options. AND if you’re looking for a place that DOESN'T add on things that your car doesn’t need, this is your place! I would recommend this company to anyone. And then there’s Bentley - the huge shop dog who walks through for pets, booty scratches, and to make sure everyone’s doing ok. I will add that when I was ready to take off, I had to move some things around in my car from the spare being removed. Recommended without hesitation, time and time again. Having been a customer for a few years and across four different cars, I can say that the experience here is unlike any other, in the best ways. Communication is always friendly, caring, and clear. Timing is prompt without feeling rushed. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality of service, even going as far as suggesting trusted options for quality used tires when I couldn't afford new ones.

Iowa City Tire is THE BEST place to take your car. As a woman, or just anyone who’s not familiar with cars, it’s very easy to get taken advantage of when it comes to car repairs. This is not the case at IC Tire. Last year my mom’s car was starting to need frequent repairs. It was pushing 300,000 miles so it was time, but for many reasons she wasn’t ready to let it go. When the repairs started to get bigger Andy recommended she not repair it anymore and just replace it. He could have just repaired it and taken her money, but he’s not like that. When I need to have anything extra done like new tires I always get a heads up (you’ll want to do this in 6-12 months) so that I can plan and budget accordingly.
