My friend brought me his Honda civic that was serviced here because it was extremely low on power. Come to find out, this shop set base timing to 16° retarded. Do better guys, it's not a difficult task to set base timing and I wouldn't trust a shop that can't even do that correctly.

One of the warning lights came on in my car, so I brought it to IT. The owner ran a diagnostic scan and told me I needed a new transmission—either a remanufactured one for $4,300 or possibly a used one for $2,500. He provided a written estimate and charged $100 for the diagnosis. Given the high cost for an older vehicle, I decided to get second opinions. I consulted three other mechanics, and none of them agreed that a transmission replacement was necessary. It may have been an honest misdiagnosis, but it could have led to an extremely costly and unnecessary repair. To their credit, IT gave me the quote in writing and refunded the diagnostic fee after I shared what I learned from the other shops.
