I couldn’t be happier with the service I received at John’s Auto Center in South Amboy, NJ. I recently had a terrible experience where I received a severely overcharged repair estimate from AAA for a repair that I didn't even need. Looking for a second opinion, my friends recommended I try John’s Auto Center, and I am so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the service was fast, friendly, and professional. Unlike other places, Mr. Singh (the owner) actually walked me through the issues with my car. He took the time to show me exactly what needed to be fixed, demonstrating the broken parts and explaining everything in a way I could understand. Seeing the worn parts for myself gave me so much peace of mind compared to the vague explanation I got elsewhere. He got my car repaired quickly

Mr. Singh and Chris were both great. After just getting an oil change, AAA gave me an estimate of $3,000 and said my car was a safety hazard. Turns out, I just needed to change some fluid and fix one little piece for WAY less than that. They told me exactly what parts to buy, showed me every little part on my car, and even stayed until after closing to make sure we were taken care of. Thank you, both of you! Will definitely be coming back

I went to John Auto with a problem in my radiator. Mr. Singh handled everything very professionally — he’s a very knowledgeable and experienced person. While checking the vehicle, he also found an issue with the right front CV axle, which was making a clicking noise whenever I turned. He took care of that too. I’m very glad I brought my car here. The price was very reasonable, and I’m extremely happy with the service. They are honest, hard-working people who truly care about their customers. Thank you, Mr. Singh!

The absolute best. I would recommend this place 1,000 times if I have too. With all of the problems that I have had with my car ..not only do they fix the problem they also educate me on what was the cause/issue. All of my issues have been last minute and they’ve always got it done. Being that I am a woman who just started driving last year, I’ve always been nervous to go in by myself but I must say this friendly neighborhood mechanic shop is a place I will always trust to go to. Hands Down.

So lucky to have found this auto repair shop being new to the area. They’re genuinely friendly, took care of my backup vehicle with reasonable pricing and options given that it’s an older and my second car. Highly recommend, you’ll get an honest exchange with Singh.
