John's Firestone

There was an issue at another location and we ended up having to travel to Johnstown. When I had called Johnstown, I expressed that I understood this was not her store location that was the cause of the problem, but, because we were sent there, I called there to discuss the options to see if there was anything that could be done for the huge inconvenience, especially in the bad weather that we are currently experiencing. I spoke with Amy, she was absolutely amazing, very understanding, she was able to resolve the situation while staying very kind and professional.

This place has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I usually work on my own stuff. Which includes my brother's truck. 2011 f150. Earlier this year he went in to get his truck inspected. And as most shops do he got upsold into replacing things that probably didn't need replaced considering we had just replaced them about 2 years ago, and the other side is still the factory one. OK no big deal it's already there he paid to get all the work done. Little did we know that would be the biggest mistake we could make. They took apart a vehicle that my brother uses to transport his 1 year old daughter in and didn't put a single part back on correctly. The 2 upper control arm bolts weren't even finger tight. Edited The service was quick and they got my car in to repair the leaking valve stem very quick. However the concern for customers property and taken initiative for mistakes is not something that was done well. After paying and walking out to find the side of my car had appeared to been scraped/drove along the corner of the garage entrance. And when asked about it saying their is surely no way my tech would have done that and I must have just missed seeing it when getting into my car to drive their. Based on the corners off all the bay entrances and lack of cameras I feel like this has to be a common occurrence and attempted to be brushed off more than just how I was treated at this Firestone. Can’t say enough good stuff about this place and the people. They didn’t even work on my car at all because they didn’t have time. However, they helped me find a place that would help me out. I was traveling across country and had a wheel stud break. They were too swamped to work on it, but the guy behind the desk called every shop in town until he found a place that could do it for me. Can’t thank them enough. If I lived in this area. I’d be going here as much as I could.

Honesty! I generally take my car to Honda as I have lifetime free oil changes for my Honda Si and they tellme all the suggestions that need attention to my car. Knowing the dealership services are over priced, knowing I can take my car to Firestone and the prices are much more reasonable is the reason I continue to go back to the Lake Elsinore Firestone. I’ve noticed there is no high turnover rate in staff as the same staff has been there for the past two years I have been taking my car there and this is why I will continue to take my car there for all my future auto needs. It makes a huge difference when you can trust the technicians working on your car and the front service staff to take care of not on you but your car as well!
