Jones Chevrolet GMC

We just recieved our vehicle back after this been the 2nd time there for a starter issue. They failed to check the flexplate for missing teeth after I toldem it was grinding before it stopped now the starter just free spins like its hitting nothing. They slap a starter in it and it stops within a month. Had it towed to jones again this time it was there for 5 weeks 1 day for flexplate replacement. We were told it was being worked on then to it hasnt been touched missed 4 completion dates. Missed 3 before my dad got involved bc he was a lifetime customer. He managed to get me a loaner so I had a way to actually have a Christmas and be able to drive to family. I was quoted 1700-1900 for the job ended up being 2350. In 2022 I purchased a new Chevy Silverado 1500 equipped with the 6.2 L engine from Jones Chevrolet. Unfortunately, this engine is one of the engines involved in a nationwide recall due to manufacturing defects which cause engine failure. Ultimately the engine failed in my truck. The truck was taken back to Jones Chevrolet on 11/6/25 for repairs which is covered by the recall. The truck only has 44,000 miles on it so would also be covered under the original 5 yr/60,000 warranty. Upon dropping the vehicle off I requested if Jones had a loaner vehicle program. I was informed they do not. I was eventually advised that the engine was bad and was going to be replaced under the recall. I have been advised multiple start dates and completion dates on my truck. Sales person was helpful and informative. Financial manager nearly lost Jones the sale. Figures were incorrect and his demeanor and attitude was unappreciated. Rushed through process like bothered by the whole process.

I had an appointment scheduled here for 1 p.m. to have my car looked at, and it was towed in well before 10 a.m. By 3 p.m., I still hadn’t heard anything, so I called to check in. The person on the phone was incredibly rude and argued with me about when my car arrived—even though my appointment was at 1 p.m. and the car had been there for hours. He claimed they didn’t get it until noon (still before my appointment time) but said he’d take a look. They never actually diagnosed the issue. When I called again right before closing, all they told me was the same error code I had already gotten from AutoZone, which I had even mentioned earlier.
