J’s Mechanic Shop

There are gracious people out there, and these guys were angels! Our car was still being worked on at a private mechanic’s when a medical emergency happened. I randomly called Javier, hoping he knew or heard of this mechanic or maybe a family member, or the where the shop might be at so we could determine what to do with our car. Not knowing anything, Aj’s took time, did some research and were able to locate our mechanic and the details…. They teamed up went out of thier way to locate our car,, finish repairing and putting it back together, in a miraculous story—— and did it out of kindness and respect in helping another mechanic in need. You guys are angels!! Thank you for helping so diligently and caring for the whole unexpected situation!

Heard a noise, thought I needed a wheel bearing replaced. The guy told me he'd call before doing anything to it. SIX DAYS LATER I called, and he hadn't even looked at it yet. He was resistant to bother, or give me an estimate, and was pushing to have me pass it on to someone else. When I asked for the status, he said, "I have to press it." So I asked when he will, "so do you want me to give it to Scott?" I said "No, I want you to look at my car, and call me with an estimate like you said you would." He said, "okay?" It was blatantly obvious he didn't give a damn at ALL, and chuckled over the phone like it was no big deal. My alternator and battery went out in my vehicle while I was driving home from the coast on a Sunday. While on the side of the road, I googled auto shops near me and Js popped up with great reviews. I called and left a message, and Javier responded right away. I was able to have my vehicle towed to his shop, and he had a new alternator and battery placed the next day! He was very professional, had excellent communication with what was going on, and was very responsive when I had questions. I would definitely recommend J,s Mechanic Shop.

My cars alternator and battery when out on a Thursday. Got it towed to my house. Call J's to get get looked at. They came and picked up my car and got it diagnosed my car and had it back to me on Saturday. Very friendly fast great work. At my old shop it would have taken a week for the diagnose to happen and another week for the repairs to be done. This is my go to shop from not on.

Good prices, and fast work. However, I wish he would have mentioned the 5 other check engine light codes that he knew about, before he said the alternator needed changed. After he fixed the alternator, the check engine light came on later that same day. I asked him if there was anything else wrong with the vehicle, and then he sent a photo of the light codes. If I knew of the other codes, I may have not had him replace the alternator… Also, when I arrived to pick up my vehicle, the under-dash panel (where the drivers knees are) was hanging down on the floorboard. Not sure why it was detached, but I asked him to screw it back on before I left. Made me feel like him or another Mechanic that was working on my car at his shop was a bit rough with the interior.
