The team at Kendall Towing is top-notch across the board! Be sure to request them as your light-tow service of choice in southeastern Iowa, through your roadside assistance provider or insurer. Thomas, the driver assigned to my tow, was extremely prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient in working to get my stuck vehicle unstuck. He even improvised an ingenious custom method to get a little extra traction under my rear tires to guide my vehicle onto the truck bed! The front office and dispatch team were also highly courteous and responsive on the phone ahead of Thomas’ arrival. If you find yourself in need of a tow, give the folks at Kendall a call!

I want to give a shout out to Kendall Towing & their employee Thomas. A couple of days ago, my car got hung up on a high curb and wouldn’t move forewarn or backward. My insurance company contacted Kendall Towing to help remove the car. Thomas arrived in 15 minutes and maneuvered his tow truck and carefully removed my car making sure there was no damage to the underside of the car. It was a brilliant strategy by Thomas whose calm & cool attitude reassured me throughout the process. Kudos to Thomas & Kendall towing.

After getting into an accident last week our insurance company sent out Kendall Towing. We were quoted a wait time of about 90 minutes. We called Kendall Towing to confirm and were received by an incredibly rude woman on the phone. We understand she was probably very busy, but her tone and overall demeanor on the phone was far less than hospitable. It gave how dare we call and ask for some help & reassurance. We were then alerted that it would take more than 3 hours for the tow truck to arrive. We called back to update instructions regarding the tow and were again connected with the same woman. Still rude and clearly no time to just be nice. She actually interrupted my spouse mid-sentence and hung up. It really costs nothing to be kind. Do better, phone lady at Kendall Towing. Three stars

When researching this company, I noticed their website only references their Milan, Illinois location and doesn’t mention any Iowa City operations. The Iowa City address listed on their Google profile also appeared to be a storage facility rather than an actual business site. Additionally, when I searched the Iowa Secretary of State’s online business database, I couldn’t find any listing for ‘Kendall Towing’ or ‘Kendall Performance Repair’ as entities registered to do business in Iowa. For anyone who prefers to use companies with a clearly established and verifiable presence in the community, these were factors I felt were important to be aware of.

Stopped for gas halfway home from work and when I went to shift into gear my truck wouldn't shift. The shifter would just free-float but the gears wouldn't engage. Figured maybe the shifter cable snapped since there was no tension or resistance. Was gonna get it towed home then get it to the shop so it could be repaired. Tom came and I explained the situation to him and he crawled underneath and showed me where the shifter cable is supposed to connect to. Turns out it was just a plastic bushing that was worn out and not securing the cable properly. He popped it back on and tested the shifter and she worked just fine. He told me I just needed to get a new bushing and assured me my truck will run just fine once I get that replaced (as opposed to replacing the entire shifting cable). Very hap
