Kevin knowingly sold my 16 yr old son an unsafe car under false pretenses. He lied multiple times to get him to spend $6,000 on an auction car he got off a site from ghanda!! and threw on his lot without even checking over. He put him in an unsafe vehicle with no concern for his life. He was told that was every dollar my son had for a vehicle and he continued to lie and the car has been undrivable for well over half the time we've had it, which has only been a little over 2 months. He gave us his word that he would fix it if it broke down and put some things in writing but does not answer calls. During the test drive, there was a shake in the wheel and a light banging noise. Was looking for something specific and found that Kevin had what we were looking for. Although there were some issues with the car we purchased, Kevin was helpful and accommodating and overall I'm satisfied with the level of care and attention we were given. I found Kevin to be very genuine and I also really appreciate his communication and follow up. I would consider buying from here again based on the care we received. Also, Kevin had done some work to the car we bought and after the purchase I did have an independent mechanic look at the car for some unrelated needed repairs and they confirmed that the quality of work done at Kevin's shop was of good quality. The owner Kevin himself is a very honest and knowledgeable dealer. He is a very kind and caring helpful guy. He actually takes the time to fix up the vehicles he sells. He fixed many new parts on my truck before I bought it. Many dealerships are sketchy and sell you cheap vehicles that are beat up that fall apart quickly but his vehicles aren’t as bad, they are better, they will last longer. He was very patient and caring through the whole buying process. He was telling us stories about his last that we’re fun to listen to. I purchased a truck on consignment. The actual seller was sentimental about it having purchased it new for use as his "fishing & hunting" truck. I got him to lower the price a little, since he had a paper trail of repairs (new transmission being one example). Still, after I purchased it, and went further into examining the engine it was shot! Cost me $3500 in repairs plus $5000 purchase price. I knew it needed tires and body work, but this was crazy. I honestly have no idea what an owner could do when running an auto consignment to maintain integrity. It wasn't the owners fault, he's been upstanding with me with all my other transactions. I recommend Kevin Bolssen for everything else.
