Our 2019 Nissan Rogue developed an issue with the mass airflow sensor that led to replacing the throttle body and MAF sensor. In researching the car’s problem both with a Local mechanic and YouTube, I learned that this issue could be the result of a dirty valve in the throttle body and was advised to have that cleaned properly and to then check to see if the problem could be solved. The dealer refused to consider doing that work and stated “we have to go with the code and follow what the manual says.” Which was to simply replace both components, costing us over $2000. This car only has 26k miles on it. These parts can go 100,000 miles on a well maintained car. The problem started 6 weeks after purchasing it and only driving it about 1000 miles.
