Pineapple Express Kauai Car Rentals

10/10. Tracey and team were beyond accommodating (had a fun time using credit card car rental insurance for the first time). Ended up getting an upgrade last minute to a jeep (so worth it). They made the entire process and service worth it compared to what you get with the airport Car rental companies. More than worth it when they throw in the complimentary chairs, cooler, and umbrella for the beach. Plus, always feels good to support a local family! Mahalo P.S. bring back the Pineapples!!

A Facebook group led me to rent from this smaller company, with glowing reviews of their clean cars and fast service. We traveled to Kauai in the slower season between Thanksgiving and Christmas and rented a mid-size SUV. Working with them is definitely different than the large companies like Avis, etc. There is a lot of back and forth answering questions and providing IDs, etc. They have their system down for when you land and will text you instructions on how to contact them, which we followed when we landed at LIH. While my husband made a pit stop, I got our luggage (which had arrived by the time we exited the plane!) so we were both able to make our way to the car rental stand outside the airport in quick fashion. All other people on our flight got on shuttles before we were picked up

This was a phenomenal rental experience for our family! After a long flight with tired kids, they made the car pick-up process so convenient and hassle free—truly outstanding communication and detailed (albeit uncomplicated) instructions throughout—their customer service was world class too! Dropping off the car at the end of our vacation was equally streamlined and super quick—zero stress. We saw multiple families at Lihue Airport freaking out due to last-minute rental car cancellations or delays, and I can’t describe the peace of mind that came from renting from Pineapple Express. The perfect way for us to start and end our dream Kauai Christmas—Mahalo!

Our experience with Kauai Pineapple Express Car Rentals was amazing! Great customer service and we will definitely use them again on our next visit! Everything was just great from the initial reservation, to the pickup at the airport, and ease of returning car. Their pricing was very good! This was the nicest vehicle we’ve rented in our 3 trips to Kauai. We were pleased to be able to work with a locally owned, independent, family business. A bonus was we get two chairs, a beach umbrella and a cooler along with your rental and they came in very handy! This company is 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ in our book!!

From start to finish it was a great experience. No waiting in long lines to pick up or drop off the rental, and trust me, the lines for other car rentals can be several hours long. The location is only a 4 minute drive from the airport terminal, from which you will be picked up and dropped off. Jeep gladiator came equipped with a bag of beach towels, chairs, umbrella and cooler box. Great customer service and very responsive to any needs.
