Renters beware! Ask what you are getting, if you are expecting a reliable vehicle. First, I was given a 2008, with tire pressure issues on day 1 of driving - then was asked if I (the customer) had someone check the tires. Swapped the vehicle for a 2012 minivan. Although I was told it was available to swap when I called in regarding the tire pressure issue almost 24 hours prior, I was told, ‘the van just came in the night before and they hadn’t had a chance to clean it’. Caught in a lie! I pulled off the lot in the van, and the oil light came on. It was filthy too! I intentionally dropped the van off after hours. When I pulled into the lot, I looked around at the vehicles that they had for sale, I spotted at least 4-5 vehicles with flat tires. What kind of place is this?

I rented a car from Lake City while visiting SD. The price was great, the vehicle was comfortable and reliable. Charlotte was helpful, friendly, and efficient. I will be using Lake City next time I need a rental in Watertown.

Almost every tire on the lot was flat, dunno how they think that represents them well, especially with the air hose laying outside tangled and not a worker outside, talk about bad representation. Did a new owner take over or something? What’s the deal in change of pace? Used to be a nice lot, always having three or so people outside talking to you or looking over the cars, but not anymore.

I rented a passenger van from the for a trip to Texas and never had a problem. Price was competitive and friendly service.

Efficient used cars and vans at a good price. Staff very pleasant ! Home town proud.
