Maaco Auto Body Shop & Painting

This is my third time using this location and unfortunately my last. The first two times were flawless experiences with pickup trucks and this time with a bigger semi. The office staff is amazing however the painting just wasn’t anything better than I could have done in my backyard. Drips everywhere, nothing was taken off the truck and just masked around them and when the tape was removed you can see the old color around the edges, the paint wasn’t dry when they shut all the doors and hood and the rubber pushed all the new paint so all the old color is showing through the gaps, there’s heavy sanding gouges everywhere, there are all tiny raised bumps as if stuff fell into the wet paint, the front grille hinge was broken and more. I hate hate hate to write this as I never want to be this guy

I had a fantastic experience at Maaco! From start to finish, the process was seamless, but what really stood out was the service. Miguel was incredible, he answered every single one of my questions with patience and gave me an extremely fair price. I even threw a curveball and asked for something extra after he had already given me the initial quote. Not only did he handle it without hesitation, but he did it at no extra charge. Most importantly, they were able to perfectly color match the paint; you can't even tell where the work was done. The paint job is spectacular and looks absolutely perfect. They brought my 1995 Jetta back to life! I cannot say enough good things about the team at Maaco in Rockaway. I entrusted them with my classic 1995 Volkswagen Jetta, hoping for a decent refresh, but what I got back was showroom quality. The biggest challenge was the paint. I wanted the original Volkswagen Teal, a color that nobody seems to be able to match correctly these days. The team here didn't just get it "close"—they got it perfect. The finish is flawless, and the attention to detail is unmatched. It seriously looks brand new. If you have an older car or a classic that needs restoration, do not hesitate to bring it here. Miguel gave me a reasonable estimate in minutes. The work was on time and exactly on budget. I don't leave many reviews, but my car looks like brand new! These guys cleaned my interior! Great work, would highly recommend.

So I had been building this project.. got a few quotes to wrap it and SMH... went to these guys awesome price right up front and bam 2 weeks later dropped it off and as per agreement 🤝 was done right on track. Excellent service and results 👏
