Main Auto Repair

Most recently my son and his family where in need of an honest car repair shop. Steve came recommended with flying colors. We live in NH and our son and his family live in Fairfield not to far from the location. I explained to Steve the situation and if he would be so kind enough to help. Like most parents we have to do things from a distance and it really makes us feel comfortable that Steve was able to help and absolutely honest and reasonable. We certainly will be working with him again. Thank you Steve from the bottom of our hearts. We appreciate you all you did.

We needed rocker panel work done on our Chevy Cruze to fix some rust spots, and Steve took care of everything from start-to-finish. Gave us a reasonable estimate, completed the work on-schedule, and matched everything up with the paint so that we can’t tell he worked on it. Obviously you never want rust on your car, but if you end up with some you want to call Main Auto Repair to fix it.

This isn't necessarily the place to go for minor jobs, like an oil change or tire replacement/maintenance. Steve also doesn't do state inspections. And it may be hard to get on the schedule soon, as he has an established clientele, closes earlier than other shops, and does all the work himself. But I recommend him highly for major repairs, as he is dedicated to quality workmanship. He had worked at another shop I used to go to, which boosted my confidence. His honesty, friendliness, good customer service, and the fact that I could drop the car off rather than wait also helped. During an inspection, he caught the need for a front brake replacement, which two other shops hadn't spotted (but I could feel). I first went to Steve's garage because he was close by, I wanted to support a small local business, and I needed the truck I use at work serviced. Some of the other garages in the area would have taken days to get to my vehicle, but he was able to get it done in a few hours. Steve was upfront, hard-working, and punctual. He's the only mechanic I go to now, both professionally and with my personal car(with the exception of state inspections).

Plain and simple, Steve does great work and is as honest and reliable as they come. He saved me thousands in repairs as quoted from a repair shop up the road. I wouldn’t go to anyone else!
