I brought my car in for a warranty differential reseal that they didn't do correctly roughly 8 months ago, they used the same part that came off last time, that had been bouncing around and wearing excessively for an unknown amount of time, and also told me and my girlfriend that the car had a "major oil leak" and that the ac compressor was covered in oil and we needed to be put into a loaner. The tech then said that we needed to take the car and drive it with the "major oil leak" for 500 miles with dye to find the leak. After taking it to our personal shop, it's very clear that the valve cover is leaking. Rather than doing a proper diagnosis on a problem, they firstly tried to recommend an incorrect repair of the oil pan gasket, then back-pedaled once I mentioned warranty and said we need
My beloved Speed 3 engine went, and I was in a pretty desperate situation. The service manager, David Valdez, along with the lead mechanic, David, went above and beyond to work with and rebuild my car from the ground up. It would be impossible for me to describe the amount of integrity, hard work, and empathy that they displayed, but I can say that it is rare. Mr. Valdez was knowledgeable, kind, and honest. The finished product greatly exceeded my expectations, and for the past week I've been driving a brand new show quality car that is a reflection of David's impressive skill and attention to detail! I am very thankful I entrusted them with such a huge project, and will definitely be bringing my car here for as long as they employ people like this. Thank you!
Made an appointment over the phone for 12:30, go there a little early, and got right in. Was asked to sign a service form, but it had a message about customer wanting the cabin air filter changed. I said I did not want that without discussing it/looking at it first and was then almost accused of booking online, and then pushed to sign. I figured we could discuss the air filter when they review things with me. I settled in the waiting area and waited. And waited. And waited. Not a peep. I go to check on things about an hour and a half into the visit, and discover my car is on the ready line and is finished. No one told me? No video. No check list. No review of services. We’ve been going to them for regular maintenance since purchasing our CX5 here years ago. They’ve always been a great team but my most recent experience with them really shows how much integrity they have. My car battery was completely dead and, even with a jumpstart, it wouldn’t detect my key fob. I had it towed to Tonkin Mazda first because it was closer. They tried to rip me off from the start. They convinced me to replace the battery first. Days later, they insisted that the entire transmission needed to be replaced, which would cost over $6k.
