What should have been a simple tire swap turned into months of frustration and damage to my car. Back in March, I brought my vehicle in to swap tires between two sets of rims (one all-season, one snow). I specifically requested dismounting, remounting, balancing, and reinstalling the all-season set. Straightforward right? Instead this is what happened: 1. At checkout, I was charged for an oil change I never requested. It was refunded, fine no problem. 2. After getting home I noticed one tire didn't match the others. It turns out it was mounted backwards forcing me to go back to the shop to have it corrected. 3. All four valve stem caps were missing.
These were replaced after I pointed it out. 4. Worst of all, I discovered four separate points of damage to my side skirts. The

I would like to express my sincere thanks for the outstanding service I received during my two most recent experiences at Melvin’s Tire in Smithfield, RI. My first visit occurred during a stressful situation when I discovered a flat tire after work. I called to see if you might be able to help, even though it was very close to closing time. Without hesitation, I was told you could squeeze me in. When I arrived to pick up my car, Junior was extremely polite and informative. The service was completed quickly, and I was on my way right at closing time. It was truly a lifesaver. My second experience involved discovering that the wheel lock key was missing from my car. Junior went above and beyond to help rectify the situation, and within a very short amount of time, had everything rectified!!!

Bruce is a truly a amazing and professional assistant manager. He took the time and care to make sure I had a great experience. The team here at Melvin's are amazing. Alex and Junior deserve 15 stars. I've been coming here for a number of years now. Right before Christmas, I bought a set of tires here for a different car. I got a great price for a high quality Mavis Traction Pro Plus (I was very satisfied with the old set on my other car). I had to come back a few days later to change my TPS sensors which I should have done in the first place (my bad, not theirs). They rebalanced them at no additional cost and gave me a great discount on the 4 sensors. I've always been treated well here! Tip: If you're going to wait, go there after 10 am when the place empties out. If you go at 8am, the waiting room is full.

Melvin’s Tire is hands down the best tire shop around. The staff is honest, knowledgeable, and gets you in and out without any games. They explained my options clearly, gave me a fair price, and the work was done quickly and professionally. It’s hard to find a shop you can actually trust, but Melvin’s Tire has earned my business for life. Highly recommend.
