Mills Automotive

We have used Mills Automotive many, many times. They are responsive, communicate at every step, do outstanding work, and have fair prices. Samantha has always been straight forward on costs and timeliness, always calling to keep me updated if things change (like a part being delayed). Her customer service is wonderful! Chuck and his entire team have kept our decades old, heavily used and abused car running for far longer than it should have run!

Traveling back from Madison and my tire pressure alert came on. I was losing air pressure in back tire and was thankful to find Mills automotive. They were so kind and helpful. Tire couldn’t be patched as a large chunk of metal cut a big slit in the tire. Knowing nothing about cars, the mechanic informs me that I should have a “ key”/ tool to remove the lugnuts as they were locked. I had no knowledge of where this would be. Again the lady helping me searched as I called my Ford Dealer and she eventually found what we needed. The mechanic quickly put on my little spare tire and had me back on my way. I was very grateful for their kindness and immediate help. Highly recommend!

Mills automotive is excellent. They always look out to lower costs, but don't cut corners. They don't do unnecessary services like cleaning the fuel injectors or replacing the transmission fluid unless there is a clear problem. I've always been able to get in quickly, and both the front-office service and garage service are excellent, with clear explanations and good communication. I have Mitsubishi vehicles, which can be a challenge to find parts for, and they have always returned my car quickly and in excellent shape. Estimates in both time and cost are always on target. It is important to me to have a mechanic/garage I can trust, and Mills is it. If I think a dealer is doing unnecessary service, I bring it to Mills to get the straight story. My granddaughters car was stolen by lord knows who, it was abandoned along a country road and towed, ( 4 miles according to the pickup address) we retrieved it immediately ( I think it sat 1 night,) the cost? Just shy of 600.00 which seems a bit steep especially after the car was stolen not left by owner or from a traffic violation.( I was given till 4 p.m. not 5 or another $50.00 would be applied). The lady on the phone was pleasant and friendly ( but why not for that kind of cash?) I'm a business man , I get overhead but in my community that tow would be $85.00 max, likely less, it hurts me to have to post this but I feel this was an absorbant amount, maybe because I'm not a local. Got in an accident, needed truck towed immediately. $375 to tow a truck 12 miles. $50 a day to store a truck for 6 days on a unsecured side street. complete ripoff. Should've been $675 at the ripoff rate, right? Nope somehow it was almost $745. Nothing but attitude from woman there.
