Mister Car Wash

I’ll start with saying that I was told after the fact that there was an issue with capturing my card payment so this interior/exterior wash was given to me on the house. That’s wonderful. My vehicle was pretty dirty from having my dog inside, which I forewarned them about and they said no problem. I wasn’t expecting perfection by any means, but they were done in 10 minutes and when I examined everything after leaving, I was pretty disappointed. I would’ve rather paid an up-charge for the mess I needed addressed, waited longer, and gotten a decent clean. It was obvious they hadn’t even touched a lot of it. Friendly staff, nicely accommodating with the card issue, but the quality of the work was really disappointing, even if I didn’t have to pay for it this time.

Driving into this place feels less like cleaning your truck and more like entering a neon soap dimension. A full tunnel of swirling suds, glowing lights, and spinning brushes that look like they’re auditioning for a nightclub. Honestly, if someone rolled in a DJ booth and handed out glow sticks, this place would instantly become the cleanest rave in town. You sit there creeping forward while foam cannons blast your windshield like a bubble blizzard. Purple lights, blue lights, spinning cloth monsters… it’s like your vehicle is getting baptized by a disco octopus. When the tunnel spits you out the other side, the truck is shiny and you’re slightly disappointed there wasn’t a bass drop. 5/5 — great wash, but still waiting for the DJ. 🫧🚗🎶

I have been a loyal member of Mr. Car Wash for more than five years, which is why today’s experience was especially disappointing and stressful. I visited the Mr. Car Wash location on 41st Street NW in Rochester, MN, expecting to receive the interior cleaning service I had requested. Unfortunately, the doors were locked, and I was left waiting for more than 30 minutes without any explanation, apology, or assistance from the staff. Although there were more than five employees present, no one came to address the situation, communicate the delay, or assist customers. I used to be a platinum member at Mr. car wash and I was always impressed with the level of service however over the years it feels like there has been a shift possibly due to changes in management. The cleanings just aren’t as thorough as they used to be especially when it comes to the details. That said it’s still a convenient and reliable place to take your car for a decent wash and vacuum. The facilities are generally clean and it’s a quick way to keep your car looking presentable without too much hassle. I hope to see some improvements in the overall quality again, but for now remain a solid option for a basic wash.
