I can't say enough good things about Neil at Mohawk Automotive. For a guy with a low paying job trying to keep an old car alive the patience Neil has had with me over the years is unparalleled. He's a honest man in a very dishonest profession and the area will be made less the day he retires. But I hope he retires and gets to enjoy life a little because he has served all of us very well and we are lucky to have him.

If there were below zero stars, that's what I would've chosen. I had my car towed here. The owner, Neil was obnoxious and had no customer service qualities. I tried to be above that believing he had integrity. He told me it was a gasket. It would be $40 to look at it. Said it wasn't the water pump as the last place told me. He said he did a pressure test. The gasket would be $500..small part not too much more. I called the next day, he said I had a gas leak. I never had any problem with keeping gas in my car. I read in the reviews he said that to someone else. He then said the total was $2000.. I told him I'll have it towed elsewhere. He had torn apart my engine. He would not put it back together and he broke the gas regulator because he couldn't get it off and was lying that I had a

I took my 1976 corvette in to Neil because I was having problems with the carburetor and I wanted an overall tune-up. Neil was highly recommended to me by my regular mechanic for the tune-up and to make sure my car was running properly. Neil checked in with me throughout the process about what he found and to get my input. I really appreciated his willingness to go the extra distance to make sure things were working properly and I am very happy with the results. I had a great experience and told Neil I won’t be taking my vette anywhere else from now on.

Well mechanical-wise they're top notch. I had a great first experience where Neil (the owner) diagnosed and fixed a problem my truck had that no one else could, including dealerships. However, recently I had a check engine light come on and brought it there. I had to contiue to call everyday, Neil wouldn't call me back even though he said he would, and they told me my brake caliper was bad on top of an emissions part. After calling everyday for a week and saying I really need my truck he said come get it and I got there and he gave me a bill for $900+ and the engine light is still on with a part backordered that *should* fix it for $500 more. What have been nice to have been told how much the brake caliper would cost or how long it would take until I could get my truck. Sad because I cont

The mechanic fixed the stripped bold on transmission case quickly and replaced the starter that I bought from Auto zone but he charged me $600 for only fixing the stripped bolt? I was from another state and I feel like he took advantage of my situation and basically ripped me off. I would give 5 stars if he did honest business!!!
