Neal Tire and Auto Service

We have been taking our cars to Neal Tires for years. Joe does a wonderful job. They’re very honest and they will let you know what you need to do now and what you can wait on if you don’t have the money I love to the automated system that they text you when your car is ready

I have brought my vehicle here every year, sometimes multiple times a year since at least 2023 to handle the same issue with my vehicle, the coolant system. I never know exactly what the coolant system needs as I am not a vehicle expert which is why I bring it to the shop. I trusted the shop to diagnose and fix my issue, but about every 3-6 months an issue with the coolant system arises. Luckily I work from home, but there have been multiple months over the years I have been without a vehicle to save and pay for the ongoing repairs to the coolant system. Like clockwork after taking my vehicle twice to have the system diagnosed/repaired in the Spring, the vehicle is now undriveable. A good mechanic helps you understand your options from the beginning so you can make a decision at each step, before you spend any money. That was not in any way what happened here for me. They did not provide me with clear information about what they planned to do. They did not help me in any way to analyze the risk/benefits of my decision. Even though a quick check or a question or two about recalls at the beginning would have let them know they most likely would be unwilling to do the needed work on my car, they accepted my business and the $100 diagnostic fee without question or comment. This might be a decent place for just tires, or for other things if you know a lot about your car and already know what questions to ask. I can’t comment on the quality of their work. Joseph and the team at Neal are fantastic!!! I took my vehicle there for a new water pump and belt. The parts were replaced with precision. They went beyond the basic repair to make sure the cooling system operates properly. The car runs as smooth as it did the day I bought it. Gas tank strap rusted thru on suv. Tank was sagging and unable/unsafe to drive. Called and they were scheduled out to the 18th of Feb. I needed vehicle asap! They rearranged their work load and it was back with 2 days! Picked it up on the 13th!
