Ah, yes, the biannual necessary evil. Could not have been easier. Even in the pouring rain at 9 a.m. on a Thursday morning, I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Cheerful staff, easy peasy. Your mileage may vary if it's a Saturday, but I've never had to wait long on those days, either. I have an upcoming appointment in November at the adjacent DMV facility for my RealId. Somehow I don't think it's going to go as quickly as this, haha.
I've heard not good reports about this inspection station, but it was a good experience getting the inspection. The inspector was a nice and friendly guy. When I went in to the office building to return plates, the person who took care of me wasn't very pleasant, but did her job.
Thank you New Jersey for making this easy. I took my vehicle to get inspected here in August 2025 on a Wednesday at 10am. Extremely easy. No line and 5 minutes for the inspection.
A short, 15 minute wait on a short line and the inspection was done in 3 minutes. Staff were friendly and courteous
I went for car inspection. In and 15 minutes out in the middle of day. You don't have to wait in long lines . Costumer service was excellent.
