We had a 2016 4Runner that just one day wouldn’t start. We had it towed to this shop and they had it from Monday to Thursday. Thursday they tell us they have no idea what was wrong with it and when he hooked it to the computer it didn’t throw any codes. He charged us $315 and sent us on our way. Long story short we ended up finding out it was a key immobilizer issue. Had a mobile locksmith come out and within minutes of hooking up his computer knew what the issue was and how to fix it. He said every mechanic should have adequate equipment that would’ve read exactly what was wrong with the vehicle and we shouldn’t have been charged that much money for nothing and definitely shouldn’t have taken him 3 days.
