Pearson Auto Repair

I have used this shop multiple times. I’ve usually always had a great experience this time. I was not able to get my service warranty because I purchased my parts myself although they were genuine Mazda parts I was OK with that knowing the service is usually great. I went to check my oil today to make sure everything was good after having a valve cover replacement. I picked the vehicle up on Tuesday. Today is Sunday and one of my bolts is only being held in because the spark plug coil is above it. Not allowing the bolt to back out all the way I would assume this bolt was not even hand tightened.

Been bringing our vehicles to Pearson for many years. The customer service is always outstanding, repairs are always correct, and I've never once felt like I got robbed when it was time to pay the bill, and that's saying a lot when it comes to car repairs. Keep up the great work Pearson and we'll see you in March for my truck's annual!

Been taking my vehicles here for 2 years now. The good: my opinion is they are pretty fair priced and can get you scheduled fairly quick. The bad: if you already know what you need repaired, they still want to charge you a diagnostic fee of 125$ to verify what you want replaced is the actual problem. I've also had diagnostics that were incorrect (recommending fuel injector cleaner for an engine with turbo that Ford does not recommend and replacing spark plugs that were all firing correctly). Reason for the review- I recently dropped my truck off for a serpentine belt replacement. At pickup, the coolant reservoir was empty due to a broken thermostat housing that was not there when I dropped it off. I sent my truck in thinking it was gonna need all the steering components replaced seeing as it's an older Toyota Tacoma (2002). Mason took my truck in and inspected it, then did the work. Come to find out it was just a simple alignment and saved me from spending what I thought was thousands. The whole process took all of 45 minutes from start to finish and I was back on the road. Upon moving to Fairbanks, multiple people recommended Pearson’s North Pole location for automotive needs. When I called to schedule an appointment, they were very professional and accommodating to my limited schedule. I went in for a routine oil change, which they completed quickly for only $50 and did not hassle me for any unneeded suggestions such as replacing an air filter. There is a very quiet, clean waiting room with free water, coffee, and activities like puzzles. Overall, this was as good of an experience as I’ve ever had with an oil change, and I plan to keep my business with them as long as I am Fairbanks.
