Ordered tires online, made 9am appt for 4 days later. Showed up for 9am appt and was told 2 cars in front of me with eta of being done by 1230pm. 1230? Yup. Watched two tires get rolled out to a bay at 1030 and just sit there. Now 1230, and they still aren't done! Two folks at the counter (male and female) talking about personal life and "what'd you do for Halloween", with more inappropriate talk between phone calls and walk in customers. They should lower their voices if they're to discuss personal affairs. Not professional whatsoever. And to think, I'm hard of hearing. Done at 12:59, rolled out of the bay. 4hrs, for 4 tires WITH an appt is ridiculous. So glad I took time off for this, as I'm losing money sitting here. This shop tried to fleece me by telling me my car alternator was bad. I came in to replace my car battery and they did not bring up any issues during the diagnostic test. It was only after they installed the battery that the test was saying my alternator was "bad". Told them I wanted a second opinion and they voided the battery warranty. I took my car to the Honda dealership the next day to run a diagnostic test and was told my alternator was perfectly fine. Do not come here unless you want to get ripped off.

I should have read all the 1-star reviews — there’s a clear pattern of how this shop operates. I scheduled an appointment for Saturday, Nov 1 at 2 p.m. at Pep Boys El Cajon (Jamacha Rd) because my A/C was not working. I arrived on time and dropped off my car at 2 p.m. Riley told me the A/C hose was leaking, the part was locally available, and the car would be ready by 6 p.m., and he would call when it was done. No one called. When I phoned the shop at 6:40 p.m., he said they had ordered the wrong part and needed approval for a more expensive one. I approved the repair, and he promised the car would be ready Sunday at noon. Again, no updates — after multiple calls, I was repeatedly told it was “almost ready” and “under final inspection” until about 4 p.m. on Sunday. My husband and I picked

First off their front door signage sucks. I am handicapped and wanted to park as close as o could to the main door. The main door is not clearly marker in any way. The building is two sided so I drove back and forth looking for an entrance. I finally had to ask a worker where the front door is. I own several business and would find it impossibly foolish to NOT mark your front door in some way that is visible to the arriving, first time Customer. Very poor planning. Absurd actually. I finally got checked in and I’ll update thus when the flat tire is fixed. They did have a serve yourself coffee machine. A plus. Waiting room pictured.

what the heck why do you guys have a sign posted up saying it’s open? I get here and I tried calling before no one answers just to make sure it’s open or not and it’s not open and the sign is wrong. Don’t put a sign up like that if it’s not open confusing every damn person.
