I brought my vehicle to this location for a specific repair (oil pressure sensor service). When the vehicle was dropped off, the front windshield was undamaged. When I picked it up, the front window glass was cracked. The damage clearly occurred while my vehicle was under the care, custody, and control of the service department. What is most concerning is how management handled the situation. The service manager showed no empathy, no professionalism, and no willingness to document or investigate the damage. I was told to “find corporate” and make my own claim, which is an unacceptable response when a customer’s vehicle is returned in worse condition than it arrived. This was my first experience at this Pep Boys, I drive a fleet vehicle and this was where the fleet company wanted me to take it to have the air conditioning looked at. It ended up being an issue with the engine and the vehicle needed to be kept over the weekend, so I got a ride home and returned on Monday to pick it up. The folks who I interacted with were nice to work with, the store itself is currently being renovated. The only thing I was going to mention was that the chairs in the waiting area were in rough shape. I noticed other customers not wanting to sit in them and opting to stand while they waited. It would be nice to have the chairs replaced, otherwise I had an overall good experience with this location.

I brought my 2018 Mercedes-Benz C300 to this Pep Boys on September 8 for a brake inspection and was told my brakes were “fine,” with only rear pads replaced. Immediately after the service, my brakes continued to squeak, especially when reversing. When I called, I was told this was “normal for new brakes” and to give it time. Months later, when the issue never resolved, I returned and was suddenly told that my front rotors and rear rotors/drums now need replacement, with a quote of $1,100. This raised serious concerns, as those issues should have been identified during the original inspection. What made this experience worse was how it was handled.
