Perez auto repair

My daughter's electric driver's seat got stuck in the recline position. I called around and the first place said they couldn't get us in for a few days, the next place said we probably need a whole new seat, the third call was Perez Auto. They got us in right away, had the electrical switch fixed in just a few hours, and charged a reasonable price. They even came to pick me up at home to take me back to my car at the shop. Service was very professional. The owner made sure to show me that the seat was working and showed me the old part that was replaced. Next time, Perez will be my first call.

Very kind and professional people. The work on my car was amazing and quick and the lady who answers the phone was very helpful with any questions or concerns I had. This was my first time going here and I will be making it my permanent mechanic while living in Newark.

Absolutely terrible experience. I brought my car in for overheating problems, paid $90 for a “diagnostic” and another $400 for the repair they claimed would fix it. Picked up the car, and guess what? Still overheating. When I went back, the mechanic basically shrugged and said it wasn’t really the problem, just a “suggestion.” If that’s the case, why charge me for a diagnostic at all? Isn’t the whole point of a diagnostic to actually figure out the issue, not throw guesses at it and take people’s money? So I’m now out almost $500, the car is STILL overheating, and the shop refuses to do anything about it. Completely unprofessional, a total rip-off, and zero accountability for their work. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration—do NOT take your car here.
